Signus together with Soyuz TMA-M

Soyuz TMA-MC is a Russian multi-seater spacecraft for flight in earth orbit.

New upgraded version of the spacecraft “Soyuz TMA-M”. The update will affect almost every system of manned spacecraft. The first launch is planned no earlier than 2016.

The main points of the program of modernization of the spacecraft:

the energy-conversion efficiency of solar cells, will be enhanced through the use of more efficient Photovoltaic cells;

the reliability of rendezvous and docking of spacecraft with the space station due to the change in engine installation of the mooring and orientation. Continue reading

Top 10: huge space objects

Oceans, of course, is extensive, and the mountains are impressive for its size. 7 billion people is also not a small number. Since we live on planet Earth (whose diameter is 12742 km), it is easy for us to forget how we, in fact, tiny. In order to realize it, all we need to do is look into the night sky. Looking at it, it becomes clear that we are just a speck of dust in an unimaginably vast universe. The list of objects below will help to see the greatness of man in the future.

The largest planet (by diameter 142.984 km)

Jupiter is the largest planet in the Solar system. Ancient astronomers named Jupiter king of the Roman gods. Jupiter is the 5th planet from the Sun. Its atmosphere consists of 84% hydrogen, 15% helium with small admixtures of acetylene, ammonia, ethane, methane, and water vapor hospita. The mass of Jupiter is 318 times the mass of Earth, and its diameter is larger than the earth 11 times. The mass of Jupiter is 70% of the mass of all other planets of our solar system. The volume of Jupiter can hold 1300 planets the size of Earth. Jupiter has 63 known satellites (moons), but almost all of them are very small and dim.
