The cost of a flight into space

In technological terms, the human life is becoming more interesting: XXI century people can tolerate a lot of people couldn’t even conceive of at least two centuries ago. Fifty years have passed since the moment when man first flew into space – and now there is such a thing as space tourism. See with your own eyes on top of our planet is no longer something magical and unrealistic – the question is, what is the cost of space flight.

The man tightly on the Ground

Man and humanity as a community of individuals peculiar passion for travel, for change of place of residence. There are different opinions as to what are the roots of this passion. Romantics say about innate human curiosity, a constant desire to learn something new, to look beyond the horizon.

Rationalists believe that the desire for constant movement is an echo of the primitive instinct of survival. Primitive man, being the least protected in terms of wildlife and lack of civilization, was required to constantly move to avoid danger and to find new sources of food. Continue reading

Rare cosmic rarity — the diaries of Soviet space technology designer Vasily Mishin returned to Russia. Seven years ago an American businessman Ross Perot bought his diaries of the author, and now, 7 years later, I decided to share them with the Russian public, passing a group of our scientists copy the relic. They translated the diaries presented today at the United rocket and space Corporation.

In the 20th century in space flew only professional cosmonauts and astronauts – it was their main job. However, sometimes there were also business trips into orbit. 28 April 2001 the launch of the Russian spaceship “Union TM-32” with the cosmonauts T. Musabaev and Yuri Baturina and the first space tourist, American millionaire Dennis Tito on Board. April 30 was carried out docking with the International space station (ISS).

The crew of the “Union” held on the ISS for 6 days, during which the astronauts conducted scientific experiments, and tourist Tito was engaged in Photo and video shooting, kept a diary and picked up groceries for Breakfast, lunch and dinner for everybody on the ISS. On may 6 Russian cosmonauts Dennis returned to Earth.

Immediately after landing, the first space tourist said he was in heaven, and that is going to publish a book about his time in space. For flight in earth, orbiculate paid the Federal space Agency of Russia of 20 million US dollars. Continue reading
